The first time I really tasted tumeric was in a tumeric latte which is essentially tumeric and frothed milk. I really wasn’t a big fan of the pungent and gingery taste. After forcing myself to try a few more times, I started to develop a palate for it (thank god because it has numerous health benefits). I must say I prefer it much more when it is incorporated in smoothies. Especially if you find it hard to tolerate, you can easily disguise the taste by adding other ingredients.

Ingredients:

2 frozen bananas

2 pitted dates

1 tsp tumeric powder 

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup almond milk

Toppings:

Homemade granola

Ground flax

Hemp hearts

Goji berries

dust with cinnamon powder
