As we age, our body’s collagen production level slows down. Collagen makes up roughly 30% of protein and is the most abundant protein in our body. It strengthens our bones and joints, helps our skin retain elasticity, and improves gut health. Making sure we are replenishing our collagen levels is a no brainer.
I use Organika’s Original Enhanced Collagen Protein. It is flavourless and hydrolyzed meaning the amino acid chains have been broken down into smaller units so it can be mixed in cold or hot drinks like soups or smoothies etc.
